Martha Stewart and Friends

Hello Friends!
So today was my last day of finals and I can officially say that it's CHRISTMAS BREAK YAAAAAY! Anyway, today I had the pleasure of spending the ENTIRE day with my girl Janelle Magbitang (whose blog you should check out if you haven't already, link will be at the bottom).  I got out around 12 which was when she picked me up and then we went home so she could open the present I got her! I think it's safe to say that she liked my gift:). After that we headed over to Smoke Eaters to meet her boyfriend and his friend and we shared a plate of chicken tenders (romantic I know). We were planning to attend my schools Christmas choir performance but that was at 7 ish and it was only 4 when we were done eating. We ended up at target looking at makeup and things but we came out of the store with about 3 bags of candy. It was delicious btw. Then for some reason we came   up with the idea to make snow globes with Mason Jars and glitter and figurine things. After Target, we went over to Michaels to find everything that we needed! We did find everything and then we went to my house to make these awesome snow globes:)

Down below are pictures that sort of show an easy way to make snow globes!

We're so crafty we decided that we should make a show called "Martha and Friends" and for some reason it was the funniest thing ever. I guess things are always funny with Janelle. Enjoy your snow globes:)

Christmas Come Faster!

Hey guys!
I realize it's been SUCH a long time since I've blogged anything! I've been swamped with schoolwork and college applications and all of that boring stuff. I'm still quite busy but things have settled down a lot so I'm just finding reasons to delay starting my homework. With how much stuff I've had to do for the past month I think I deserve a few minutes to make a small blog post. Anyway I just wanted to express my excitement for Christmas. Sometimes I never realize how much I really like this holiday until it's only a few weeks away! Each day I've been getting more and more giddy about seeing all of the lights and wearings hats/scarves. Although I am more of a summer person, I LOVE bundling up in baggy sweaters and cool socks. That isn't the only thing I'm excited for though! This year (just like almost every other year) I'll be making my way to Houston, Texas to visit my dad's side of the family.  He's got 11 brothers and sisters and almost ALL of them have kids. It's the only time I really get to see my cousins all together in one house. Not only am I looking forward to seeing family, but I also can't wait to see all of the Christmas decorations that people put up! I mean Christmas lights are amazing. I can't even begin to tell you how much I love seeing them draped around house. I have no idea why but I'm so drawn to them. I've always wanted to decorate my room with lights but my room is pretty crowded and I wouldn't know where to put them): I've been watching a bunch of Vlogmas videos and I'm getting even more excited for Christmas to come. Maybe one year I'll decorate my room with a major Christmas theme and make a post about that. But until then, happy holidays all!

Merry Christmas!!!!

Hi all!
I hope you all know that I do realize it is not even CLOSE to christmas at all yet... But a few weeks ago I went to Lush for this terrific face wash bar called "Coalfaced" but more on that later! I never take baths that often which means I don't ever buy things like bath bombs or the bubble bars but the lady that worked there was really nice and convinced me to get one! I stumbled across this ADORABLE little penguin (that usually comes around christmas season) and I had to get it. Lush is always a bit expensive for me so I didn't buy as much as I wanted but I was content with this little thing. It smells wonderful. Unfortunately I can't really describe how it smells... But I can tell you that if you buy it you will have a pleasant smelling bath:) The best part about this bubble bar is that you don't have to use it all at once so you can have multiple baths on one bar! Crumple just a bit into your bath and you've got a tub full of bubbles! I have yet to try the rest of the bubble bars/bath bombs. I'll have a review for some of those eventually!

Autumn Outfit of the Day

Hi there! Since everyone has gone into the fall/autumn mood, I decided to do a little outfit of the day. Now fall was never my favorite season (I am a summer person) until... well until this year actually! I've always appreciated Pumpkin Spice Latte season but never the actual season so I guess this is my little tribute to it. I've come to realize that I sort of love the colors of fall like those burgundy/brownish/dark orangy colors that are the leaves. Obviously I dressed very seasonal today and I didn't know I wanted to make this blog post until about two minutes ago. A ton of people have made posts/videos about their fall favorites and makeup things but to be honest I haven't gotten that much "autumn" stuff so I don't really have anything to review. The only thing I can really rave about is this brand new cardigan I got! First of all, I bought this from Aeropostale (which I NEVER shop at btw) because I was in there with my mom who LOVES that store for some reason.... Anyway, while I was in there I spotted this cardigan and I was pretty much love at first sight. I have always wanted those big, thick, knit cardigans that are very very cozy and long and I finally found it! Now the original price was way too high to even name but I scored this bad boy for 20 bucks! It keeps me extremely warm and I think it has become one of my essentials for this season (along with the pumpkin spice lattes)! The top I am wearing is actually from Forever 21 from a REALLY long time ago. I can't say that I remember buying it... I do however remember buying the black jeans that I am wearing, which are from Forever 21 also. The other part of my outfit that I find to fit into autumn perfectly is the lip color I am wearing. Ever since my mom bought me the Clinique Chubby Stick Balm in 07 Broadest Berry, I have not stopped using it. It has been my favorite lip color to use since I got it. The color is very fitting for the season and it moisturizes super well! Since it is not a lipstick it's not something I need a mirror for so I it's convenient that I can bring it to school with me and not worry about chapped (or pale) lips with winter just around the corner! Just another reason I appreciate autumn more:) I realize this post was a bit random but I wanted to share my excitement about my new cardigan and my favorite lip color! I hope you all enjoy your own Pumpkin Spice Latte season!

Vy

EricEarholes: The Boyfriend

Hi there friends!
I'm not sure how many of you know this but I have been in a relationship for almost 3 years with the one and only Eric Eroles! Now even though we never get to see each other that much it's okay because whenever he is home, he always leaves me with more reasons to be okay with his absence. This past week we celebrated our 2 year and 10 month anniversary (cheesy I know) and he was home which was amazing. Instead of dressing up and having a fancy dinner we decided to match in our cat apparel (I had a crew neck sweater and he wore his bro tank) and stay in watching supernatural We also ended up taking pictures to document this momentous event. Although we took a BILLION photos, I'll just leave a few to tell you all how wonderful he is. What more could I ask for than someone who would wear a cat shirt and watch supernatural with me?

Love,
Omgitsvyyy

Lipstick Lover

Hello there friends! I have been meaning to do a post about the numerous lipsticks that I use but I never got around to it until today! My mom ALWAYS goes to Macy's for the cool gifts they have when you spend a certain amount of money, which is where I got this handy-dandy lipstick holder box thingy! I used to have this small pouch that fit all of my lipsticks perfectly but since I've been getting more the pouch has been getting a little bit cramped. I thoroughly enjoy having this rack since I can easily choose any color I want (I tend to use a different color every day). I do have a few more colors but I use those less often so I don't find it necessary to put them in there. Also these are the ones that I use the most so it's nice to have them all in one place.

Since I am already making this post I might as well do a review right? These are the ones that I am absolutely in LOVE with. Well to be fair, every time I get a new color I use that one the most until I get a new one... Okay well first of all Baby Lips have been there for me through thick and thin. A little dramatic for chapstick, but it's true! So the green one is peppermint I believe and the blue one is just called Quenched...? I take the green one with me to school and I leave the blue one at home on my desk to use in the morning or before bed. They come on a bit glossy so I try not to use too much but they definitely do not ever
leave my lips dry!
Now the other two are Maybelline's  Color Whisper tinted chapstick in Pink Possibilities and A Plum Prospect. They are a lot less glossy than the Baby Lips but they are sooo soft. I have been using these every morning because the color is not too vibrant especially for school. The pink one is really light and the purple one doesn't go on too purple. They are definitely my current favorites.

Let me know how you like these!
Love,
Vy

Meow Meow

Hello there friends!
I am supposed to be doing homework right now but I decided I really wanted to tell you about my favorite beanie with cat ears. YES, that's right. I said cat ears. It's not very new but I have not worn it outside yet considering it is still extremely warm. Fall is here and the weather is starting to become a bit more chilly. Now I got this when I was at the mall with some friends a little while ago. We were at H&m and one of my friends spotted a black furry hat with, well cat ears. I almost fell in love however I'm not really one to wear furry things so I was reluctant to buy it even though it was relatively cheap. I went to the section where they all were and that is when I spotted the one. The greenish knitted pattern somehow tricked me into trying it on. It fit perfectly on my unusually round head and the best part? THE CAT EARS. How could I resist? I mean it was only about 10 bucks and it was ADORABLE. So yeah I just went and bought it. I have plenty of other beanies that I love but this was the most recent one I bought. Maybe I'll do another post about my Cupcake beanie;)

Homecoming and Things

HELLO FRIENDS.

Wow look at me! Already changing things up. I realize that on ALL of my posts I've used the greeting "Hello there!" or "Hi there!" but it was definitely necessary that this post had to be different. Now this post will probably end up being really cheesy but it doesn't matter because it's something I think you guys should year. 3 years in high school and I have never been in a rally. Ever. I was never one to put myself out there. I couldn't act or be in front of a HUGE amount of people just doing random things like dancing or being involved in a game. I mean for a while it didn't matter but when you're a senior the only reason you have for putting yourself out there is "when am I ever going to do this again?" and that's exactly why I have decided to participate in this year's rally. Now I'm not doing much but I will be doing our traditional "Couple's Dance" with a friend of mine (Natalie). It was almost fate because when the sign up sheet was going around I had NO ONE to dance with but then Natalie ended up admitting that she didn't want to dance with the partner she signed up for so I just kind of swooped in and stole her (oops). Anyway,  now I actually have to do this dance with. I am extremely nervous, though I know it'll be fine because I won't be the only one doing the dance. Plus, as I said earlier, it's senior year and I'll never be able to do this again. I realize that this probably doesn't seem like a big deal to any of you but it's a big deal to me. It is a huge step in coming out of my comfort zone and doing something that involves school spirit and stuff. So I was right, this post did end up being really cheesy. Who cares though? It's senior year and when am I ever gonna come out of my comfort zone like this again?

Sincerely Yours,
Vy

My BFF Ladies and Gentlemen!

Hello there!
It is about 1:35 am and I am DEAD tired but I felt that it was necessary to make this post about my best friend. First of all, her name is JANELLE MAGBITANG (as if you didn't already know from the title) and today was the last day I was going to see her for a while): She originally came over to make a video for my channel. Unfortunately we got sidetracked by my hunger and her love for Starbucks and Target makeup. We had a mini haul where I picked up the Maybelline Color Tattoo eyeshadow in Inked Pink that she reviewed so well (her stamp of approval means a lot). Even after this long day it looks like I just put it on! Wait, I'm trying not to make this a review.. But I'll probably make a post on that one later:) Anyway we just ended up taking a BILLION ridiculous photos and watching the "What Does the Fox Say" video a BILLION times and laughing so hard we cried/almost peed.  I never appreciated that video until this day. Anyway, Janelle did help me a BUNCH on making my blog look waaaaaay better than it did before so I am forever grateful for that:) Sad to say that she is leaving Sunday but I know I'll see her soon enough. I miss you already Janelle!
Love,
Vy

Stress, Stress, and More Stress

Hello there!
I realize it has been a while since I've posted something. It's been hard lately to keep up with this blog so I apologize for that. So many things have come up this month and that are coming up next month and I swear my life is a living hell. I know it's kind of annoying that I complain so much but it's my blog so I don't really care. My teachers have been messing up my grades and it's the most irritating thing ever because I have to go and find out what happened and how to fix it. Plus I have to deal with the fact that my grade is ridiculously low for a while until they do fix it. This year started off awesome and now it's just going down the drain. I feel like I have so much time for things but everything is graded so much harder now. I do study and I do keep up with the work but it never feels like enough. My grades pretty much define how hard I work and it's so inaccurate. I can't even handle anything right now.

A stressed out Vy

Carmel By the Sea

Hi there!
So today I will not be posting a review on any products I've bought recently only because... well I haven't bought anything recently. However, on Monday (labor day) I took a trip to Carmel Beach with my family and a close family friend that we've known for years. We've been going to that beach since I was about 4 or 5? And there was a time where he went with us a ton of times. We actually recreated one of the pictures we took when we were young so that was really fun. Anyway I just wanted to leave a few pictures that pretty much sum everything up. Hope y'all had a wonderful weekend as well!

A Simple OOTD

Whenever I dress up I tend to have a pretty good day and this was just one of those days! One of my favorite things in my closet is this Red Velvet Skirt from American Apparel. I actually bought this off of someone for 5 bucks! What a steal right? Anyway, I've always wanted to wear this skirt with white, high-top converse and since I recently just got a pair, I decided to pair them up today!
The shirt is just a plain white American Apparel Tee (with the sleeves rolled of course). Also I never really wear belts that often so that was a new thing for me. I do think they always add a little something to a really simple outfit and I liked wearing one today. I don't normally post about what I'm wearing but I felt like I had to today since it was just a really good day and I think this outfit factored into that a little bit. Hope you're all having a lovely day too!

Target Makeup Haul

Hello there! I apologize for not posting as much as I usually do but school has started and I've already been so busy (4 APs and an Honors are not the business)! Recently I've gotten something very exciting as a small present because it was actually bought for my whole family. I GOT A CAMERA! To be honest, I wanted one for a while but they're always extremely expensive so I waited. A week or so ago I asked my dad about getting one and I told him I'd pay for half of it. He then proceeded to announce that he already ordered a really fancy (and expensive) one and that it was coming in a few days! Sure enough it finally arrived today so I thought I would try it out for a Target Makeup Haul. For those of you who don't know, Target is an amazing store that has pretty much anything you can think of and I LOVE going there for everything. I've recently gone there to buy some new/old makeup (old makeup being the stuff that I have always used since forever). These products won't really have too much of a review because I love them all equally:)

Loreal British Red Lipstick: Really really bold color,
better for nights out or special events, not good on chapped lips
 (can get super flaky)

Baby Lips Chapstick: I can't remember what flavor this is
but it's not as scented as my other one. This is extremely
glossy for chapstick but it's pretty hydrating.

Sonia Kashuk Tinted Lip Balm in Hint of Coral: Super soft on the lips
and does its job as a chapstick. Very natural color that too bold or overpowering

Elf Matte Lip Color in Rich Red: Goes on like a lip pencil but that's
what makes it easy to outline your lips the way your like. The color is
somewhat bold mix of pinkish and red. I really enjoy how long
it lasts throughout the day

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation in Light Beige: Matches my skin
color so perfectly, never leaves the line at the chin even if you don't blend
really well. Sometimes I can't really tell how much I've put on because it's
so soft. Plus it really feels like it has a matte effect and doesn't seem like
you're wearing anything at all!

Covergirl Invisible Concealer in Light: This concealer is a little bit
too light for my skin to be honest but the coverage is great.
Covers dark spots amazingly and you could never tell I didn't get
enough sleep the night before! Also not very thick for a concealer
so I like it even more.

Neutrogena Skin-Clearing Foundation (I don't remember what shade):
Somewhat thick but it's not bad. Really smooth on the skin and I don't
have to feel bad about wearing it because it's meant to treat acne. Doesn't
ACTUALLY remove blemishes but also doesn't cause them.

This isn't a makeup product but it's one of my favorite things from Target/Neutrogena.
It's the Neutrogena Moisturizer for Tone Repair (and it has sunscreen in it). I love this
product because since I use it EVERY night it has been getting rid of all of my dark
spots. Obviously this isn't the only thing I use to get rid of them but I really think
it helps a lot. It does smell weird at first but you get used to it and once you see results
the smell doesn't matter at all anymore! Probably the best moisturizer I've had!

Clearly I am really into lipstick/lipcolor and these are only a few from the collection I have. These are also probably all of my favorite ones. I really enjoy using Neutrogena products because I trust they won't really ruin my skin as much as others would. I like the new products I've tried too. Haven't disappointed me! Somewhere in the future my friend, Janelle, and I will probably do another Target Haul because we both love it so much! Anyway hope you enjoyed!

Love,
Vy

The Body Shop Products Review

 Hi there!
So recently I have been really into face/body care products. My skin isn't TERRIBLE but I like to buy things for when something does pop up on my face. I think I was on Zoella's blog where I remembered that The Body Shop existed. I went online and found a good number of things for a pretty decent price because of all the sales that were going on when I bought them. I am actually really pleased with all of the products.

First of all, this is actually just a picture of the box that all the products came in. They were all buried under a HUGE pile of shredded paper things. I'm not really sure what to call them. I kind of had to dig through it to find everything. My cat does enjoy the box though so I've kept it.

This is the Mini Grapefruit Body Butter. I generally don't buy body butters and things like that because I like to stick to the cheap bottled lotion from a drug store but this was actually free. There was an ad on The Body Shop facebook page that offered a free mini product with the promo code "like" so I figured why not? Even though this was a mini body butter it was a little bit bigger than I expected which was totally fine with me. I love this body butter. A lot of the times I'm scared to buy fruit scented body butters or anything because they tend to smell extremely strong but the smell was really nice. It was light and you could almost eat it! Lastly, the body butter itself works so well. A few weeks ago I went to the beach and thought it'd be a good idea to NOT wear sunblock even though I was going to be in the sun for 10 hours. Anyway I ended up sunburned really badly and my legs started peeling (disgusting I know) but every time I've used this butter the skin wouldn't peel and it wouldn't look like it was either! So I am really really impressed with this product and if it is ever free again I'd definitely get it.

Unfortunately I have not tried this Mango Sugar Body Scrub yet but it smells wonderful. I think all Body Shop products always smell good enough to eat. The mango scent is light and sweet but it is not overpowering. As I said earlier I got sunburned and my skin is peeling, so I didn't think exfoliating my skin was the best idea. I don't regret buying this for $10 seeing as it was 50% off!

This is the Pressed Face Powder in Shade 06. I paid $9.50 because this was also on sale. I think this is one of my favorite makeup items. I usually don't wear a lot of makeup so I'm pretty picky with what I put on my face. I trust that this won't ruin my skin too badly because The Body Shop is pretty much known for skin care and things. I did buy this online but I was smart enough to go to the actual store and find out my shade so I was not worried about the color at all. I use this powder basically everyday because of how much I like the feel of it. I usually use foundation, then a concealer that is a little too light for my skin so using the powder makes me not too pale. Also, when I use it my face is smoother than ever. It leaves a really soft feel so you can't even tell that you're wearing it at all.

Lastly, the Tea Tree Blemish Gel Stick is awesome. This is mostly for the random pimples I get that are always extremely red. When I got it, I used it that same night and the pimple that I had was mostly gone. It was a lot more flat and the redness faded a great deal. Online it had good reviews so I thought I'd try it and I have to say they were pretty accurate. I'm in love with how fast this works and how all you have to do is dab it onto the spot and sleep it off. Then in the morning you're good to go! The best part was that I only paid $4.50 for this since it was a clearance item and those were buy one get one half off (the other item being the face powder).

I love all these products from The Body Shop
and I hope you found this review little helpful!

Love,
Vy

Discovery of T Pumps

Hello there!

This post is all about:

I'm not sure how many of you know this but I am a HUGE fan of milk tea. I was told about this place in San Mateo called T Pumps and I heard it was great. Well it was great! I ordered the Honey Black Milk Tea, normal sweetness, with boba (duh!) and it was amazing! Of course they spelled my name wrong... They always do. But I do think it's really cool how they fill out your order on the cup. I was pretty happy that I ordered this because I actually tasted real honey and the amount of bitterness from the tea was just perfect.

Since my brother told me about this place, he was also the one that told me the line wouldn't be too bad. I mean this place is popular but to be honest I had no idea it would be this long. At the time of this picture I was about 7 people away from the door in addition to the fact that there were already about 20 people inside. Fortunately this is how long the line got AFTER we arrived. I don't know why everybody was in the mood for milk tea today. Waiting in line to get to the register to order and waiting for my drink to be made pretty much took a total of 45 minutes. It was actually worth it. I thoroughly enjoyed my milk tea. Definitely coming back to this place if I'm ever in the area!

Hopefully if you guys ever go to this place the line won't be this long!
Love,
Vy
